Flow Meter Calibration

Flow Calibration

FLOW METER CALIBRATION (MMER and MISA Compliance)

Calibration of flow meters has become standard practice in industry to comply with permit conditions, and regulations such as the Ontario MISA Clean Water Regulations and Metal Mining Liquid Effluent Regulations (MMER). Calder Engineering Ltd. has the expertise to review and assess flow monitoring installations, and calibrate all types of flow meters. Testing is undertaken in conformance with regulatory guidelines, and related ISO, CSA and ASTM specifications. Our calibration methods include dilution testing using dyes such Rhodamine WT or Lithium Chloride, gravimetric testing, and scale model studies.

In addition to the above, Calder Engineering Ltd. has developed proprietary designs for streamflow gauging stations, and provides design, fabrication, and installation services.

Services Offered:

  • Development of Rating Curves for Streamflow Gauging Stations
  • Calibration of Open Channel Flow Meters (e.g., weirs, flumes)
